Hugh Johnson Wine Atlas Release & Royal Tokaji Tasting
Hugh Johnson, the
World’s Most Widely Read Wine Author Stops Off in Toronto
to Promote New 6th Edition of the World Wine Atlas and his
Royal Tokaji Wines.
On an overcast,
rainy Toronto Saturday morning, a bright light shone through
cyberspace with the presence of the world’s most widely read wine author,
Hugh Johnson. In town for short visit, to launch the 6th edition
of The World Atlas of Wine, co-authored with Jancis Robinson, Hugh dropped
by for a podcast with Jamie Drummond, Sommelier for Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar.
Check out
Jamie Kennedy Kitchens to listen to the
interview. Hugh talks about his writing over the years, observations about
the ever-changing world of wine, and his role in co-founding the
Royal Tokaji Wine Company in Hungary
immediately after the fall of Communism. At a special event tasting and book
and bottle signing at the LCBO Summerhill store, Hugh was present as we
poured two Royal Tokaji wines being released by
LCBO Vintages. Have a look at the photos below.
