Within the Napa Valley, there are very premium identified pockets of vineyard sites. These are to be found in the Stags Leap, Rutherford and Spring Mountain districts exactly where the grapes for this wine hail from. A very complex Cabernet Sauvignon, we are presented with a wonderful dark red wine. Very lush with dark fruits, chocolate and spices, there is a delicate balance of tannins within its intense body. This is a witness to its aging for 12 months in French and American Oak. Although drinkable now, especially when decanted for half an hour and served with prime rib, laying down a few bottles for a few years will reward the purchaser with an epiphany of even greater enhanced complexity.
