If you like Amarone, you'll love this intense red bursting with ripe, saturated flavours of black cherry, black olives, truffle, dried plum, grilled meat and a long chalky finish. It's a ripasso which means the wine was "re-passed" over semi-dried Amarone pressings to add richness and concentration while keeping the costs down. Terrific value for money and an excellent choice for any full-flavoured meat dish such as a grilled rib-eye - with a good crank of black pepper.
