Alta Vista Estate Premium Torrontés 2019

Mendoza
The aromatic and floral 2019 Estate Torrontés from the varietal range was produced with grapes from vines in Cafayate in Salta at 2,300 meters in altitude. The grapes were pressed in Cafayate and fermented in the winery in Mendoza. This comes across as halfway between a Gewurztraminer and a Moscatel, floral and spicy without overpowering aromas. This is a unique style to Argentina, and it would be great with spicy food. People automatically associate aromatic varieties with sweet wines, and they have a problem when they find a palate like this, dry and vibrant, which I think is great for food. 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2019.
